On April 20th, The Maneuver celebrated our first birthday! It’s been exactly one year since we played our first show ever. And it’s been a crazy year. We’ve played tons of shows and have had so much fun getting funky for you guys.

We’ve got lots coming up too. We’re playing this Friday, April 25th at Charqui Grill in Kits. It’s a free, all ages show so bring down the kids!

We’re also doing our second annual Funky Beach Party on May 16th, which we are so excited about. This year we are playing with The Valuables and The Mean Threes. Come on down to The Anza Club and kick off the summer properly.

After that, we are heading back up to Squamish for our second show at Howe Sound Brew Pub. It’s on June 7th and we are told it’s an after party for a Roller Derby tournament. So if you want to party with a bunch of ladies that can put you in a headlock, follow the FunkMobile up to Squamish.

What started as a quiet few months with only one show booked has turned into a jam-packed funk assault. We took a short notice show at the Bowen Island Pub, which turned out to be one of our funnest shows ever. As soon as we got back, we confirmed two more upcoming shows. We’re playing our first show on the west side of town at The Charqui Grill in Kits on April 25th. It’s also our first all ages show.

On May 16th we are kicking off the summer season with our 2nd Annual Funky Beach Party! This year we’ve got The Valuables and The Mean Threes getting funky with us. Of course, before all that happens, we’re doing a Saint Patrick’s Day bash at Howe Sound Brew Pub in Squamish. Rent a room upstairs and get funky until you pass out! That show is on March 15th.

We’re kicking 2014 off with a proper bang! We’ve just been booked to play at The Howe Sound Brewing Co in Squamish. It’s St. Patrick’s Day weekend, so it should be a pretty crazy party. Come on up to Squamish, book a room at the Brew Pub Hotel and make a weekend of it!
